Autism - AET
We are delighted to hold the schools training license from the Autism Education Trust for Swindon, meaning we are approved to run AET training programmes.
The AET shares our aim of improving the quality of education for children and young people with autism. AET training programmes are supported by the Department for Education and over 207,000 people have received AET training. We believe that all staff should have a basic awareness of autism and the Making Sense of Autism module is for everyone in schools from cooks to caretakers, from governors to drivers. Making Sense of Autism can be delivered in your school setting at a date and time to suit you.
Good Autism Practice is aimed at practitioners and focuses on the strategies to develop good autism practice.
Leading Good Autism Practice is for leaders and managers in schools who have a focus on the whole school SEND strategy.
Extending and Enhancing Good Autism Practice explores autism in greater depth and looks at the theories of autism such as Theory of Mind.
We can also offer all Autism Education Trust modules in your setting and have licence to run school and post 16 elements of the courses.
